LAPIRO DE MBANGA «The rebel»

Cameroon’s musical icon; Sandjo Lambo Pierre
Roger popularly known as Lapiro de Mbanga
alias Ndinga man was born on April 7, 1957 at
Mbanga and died of cancer March 16, 2014 in New
York at the age of 56. After his advance level he decided to quite his carpentry career and pursue his passion in music with over 14 albums he has been a voice for the voiceless, “courageous in his thirst for justice as depicted in his slogan while in jail ‘2011 is tomorrow’.” asserted Barrister Rene Manfo, Lapiro’s Lawyer.

Singer, composer, book writter, guitarist, Lapiro is famous in his blend of pidgin, english, his vernicular,and french in the lyrics of songs he wrote in order to expose our awful system of governance. By
this, he won the freedom to create prize in 2009 by freemuse.
After three years of imprisonment, his wife(winnie de lapiro) and their three children went on exile to US
‘Over done’ ‘Constitution constipée’ and ‘Mimba we’ are his popular lyrics that makes of him a lengendary dish and firm freedom fighter of all times.
